This free weekly class is part of our Healthy Eating and Active Living (HEAL) project, funded by Champions for Change. Each class meeting focuses on nutrition, and offers brief exercise as well as frequent cooking demonstrations. Participants are also encouraged to work on a group project, such as a community cookbook. The intended audience for these classes are residents of Pilipino Workers’ Center’s housing and the surrounding neighborhood. If you’re interested in learning more, please contact Linda Huynh, Community Engagement Coordinator, at lindahuynh@apifm.org.

We are always looking for volunteers (especially those with Tagalog and Spanish language skills, and folks interested in leading exercise and teaching cooking) to support these classes. Let us know if you’re interested!
